What is JSU?
JSU stands for Jewish Student Union. Here at Earlham College, it is a group of both Jewish, and non-Jewish students gathering to celebrate Jewish holidays and customs. Everyone is welcome, regardless of faith. JSU is a great place to come and learn more about Judaism, or to connect more with Judaism, and Jewish Students on campus
What do we do?
We come together as a community to celebrate the Jewish Holidays in a casual way, that still represents the importance of the holidays. Every Friday night we welcome in Shabbat as a group. We say the blessings over the candles, grape juice, and Challah, along with a few other prayers.
Where do we meet?
Currently in the Multicultural Resource Center in Runyan, but we will have the occasional meeting in Virginia Cottage.
